Switching from Garage Partner Pro to MyGaragio
Garage Partner Pro is shop management software that runs on Windows computers in the shop. Here’s how to bring your customers, vehicles and history into MyGaragio.
What comes over
- Customers with phones, emails, addresses and notes — matched to anyone already in MyGaragio by phone, email or name.

Exporting your data from Garage Partner Pro
Follow these steps, then drop the files into MyGaragio’s import screen.
- Export your customers from Customer Follow up ▸ Export Customers (Excel).
- Export your vehicles from the vehicle browse screen with Send To ▸ CSV.
- Export your invoice history from File Maintenance ▸ Invoice History.
- Copy the files from the shop computer to the computer or tablet you’ll use for the import.
- In MyGaragio, open Settings ▸ Import & export (or the Welcome screen of a new shop) and drop every file at once. Check what MyGaragio found in each file and the columns it matched, then import.
Good to know
- Stored card numbers are never imported into MyGaragio.
- The program’s own data files (.TPS) can’t be read directly — use the exports above.

How long does it take to move from Garage Partner Pro?
Plan an hour or two to export the files and check the import. The import itself takes minutes, even with years of history.
Can I try it before switching for good?
Yes. Import a recent export during the free trial; on switch day, import a fresh export — the same customers and visits aren’t added twice.
What if a column isn’t recognized?
You choose the match yourself before importing, and an import can be undone. For anything unusual, write to us at support@mygaragio.com.
