Subprocessors

MyGaragio uses the following companies ("subprocessors") to provide the service. Each one is bound by a written agreement to protect the information it handles and to use it only to provide its service to us.

Services your shop connects itself

These services work under your shop’s own account and agreement with the provider; they are your providers, not MyGaragio’s subprocessors. Information goes to them only when you connect them:

ServiceWhat it does
Twilio Inc.Text messages and phone calls on the shop’s own Twilio number (two-way texting, missed-call text back, voice receptionist)
StripeThe shop’s own Stripe account: online payments from customers and card readers at the counter
Intuit QuickBooks OnlineInvoices and payments synced to the shop’s accounting
PartsTechParts search, carts and orders with the shop’s own PartsTech account (MyGaragio connects to it as a PartsTech partner)
Car-Part.comUsed-parts search, opened on Car-Part.com in the person’s own browser — MyGaragio sends it nothing
SMS gateway apps, the shop’s email serverTexts sent through the shop’s own phone, emails through the shop’s own mailbox

Vehicle lookups (VIN decoding and safety recalls) use the public databases of the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration; they receive a VIN or a vehicle’s year, make and model, never personal information.

eBay

eBay parts listings are searched through MyGaragio’s eBay developer account, unless your shop connects its own eBay keyset in its settings. eBay receives each search — the part keywords, the vehicle’s year, make, model and engine, and your shop’s country and postal code for shipping estimates — never your customers’ names or contact details. Purchases are made on eBay, under your own eBay account.

We notify account owners by email at least 30 days before adding or replacing a subprocessor that processes shops’ customer information, as our Data Processing Addendum describes. Questions: privacy@mygaragio.com.
